From the White House Trump waded into the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia sewage crisis yesterday in a Truth Social post accusing Maryland Gov. Wes Moore of “gross mismanagement” over one of the largest sewage spills in U.S. history. The thing is, it’s actually Trump’s own Environmental Protection Agency with the regulatory authority over the DC Water-owned pipe that burst and spilled millions of gallons of sewage into the Potomac River last month. The pipe will take nine months to fix. While there’s a plan in place, E. coli bacteria have already escaped into the river, making it unsafe for recreation and pets. Curious timing: “The president’s own EPA explicitly refused to participate in the major legislative hearing about the cleanup last Friday,” a spokesperson for Moore said. “Apparently, the Trump administration hadn’t gotten the memo that they’re actually supposed to be in charge here.” What the experts are saying: Trump’s post won’t do anything other than draw attention to the issue, Betsy Nicholas, president of the Potomac Riverkeeper Network, told NOTUS’ Anna Kramer. She also added that she is confused about why Trump said in his post that FEMA would be responsible for managing the crisis. “I've been doing this work more than 25 years, and have never interfaced with FEMA,” Nicholas said. Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., who are responsible for the massive sewage spill in the Potomac River, must get to work, IMMEDIATELY. If they can’t do the job, they have to call me and ask, politely, to get it fixed. The Federal Government is not at all involved with what has taken place, but we can fix it. But remember, even in that case, with the Democrat Shutdown, we’ll have to bring in true Patriots to do the work because many are not working right now. These Democrat caused Disasters, both River and Shutdown, will only get worse. The two Governors and the Mayor of D.C. must act, IMMEDIATELY. This is a Radical Left caused Environmental Hazard. With all of their talk about carbon footprints and everything else, they’re allowing hundreds of tons of sewage to pour into the Mighty Potomac, making it much less mighty. ACT FAST. The role will require an evolving expertise in prompt writing for an AI chatbot, to get the quality stories you might want to read. This is not a one-and-done kind of thing. We envision the rewrite specialist tweaking the stories a good bit with additional prompts for refinements. I see this as a writing role.
