Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Those facts in themselves, speaks volumes about how far the governance of this country fell, between 2010 & 2024. Yet no shame or any sign of contrition from those “ in charge “, or the appalling ghouls in the media that cheered them on….

Can anyone remember BBC News reporting on all the migrant prisoners the Tories released❓

Nope me either.. 🤷🏼‍♂️ And yet now🤔🤔
BBC News bulletins leading on the story of an Algerian man being mistakenly released by the prison service.

Funnily enough I don't remember these cases ever leading the bulletins when an average of ten prisoners were mistakenly released a month in the final year of the last Government

The right wing hacks and their paymasters may be outraged about a likely rise in tax but most of us who use public services know their dire state.
Labour needs to be bold, for a change, and do the right thing.

Every time Reform claims to be neither racist or fascist one of its ambassadors says something racist or fascist.

It's a matter of time before this risible Alf Garnett tribute act is rumbled and consigned to the dustbin of political history like its hard right forebears.

With an ally of Nigel Farage pleading guilty to taking bribes for making pro-Russian statements, it’s clear we need an in-depth investigation into Russian money in our politics.

Today I asked the Prime Minister whether he would back an investigation.

Labour needs more representatives like him doing the media rounds. Darren Jones, Anna Turley, Torsten Bell to name three.

At the end of the day the next election will be Reform and what remains of the Tories vs the parties that represent the majority of people in the UK.

I will happily vote for any of the rest even though I will not agree with quite a few of their policies.

Andy Burnham seems like a very decent man who does a great job in his current role. But no one with any knowledge or serious influence thinks he would make a good PM.
All he’s currently doing is helping Farage and making himself even less popular in the Labour Party as a result.

Yes, there appears to be no interest or effort made anymore to fact-check columnists or for that matter news and features. It's not the subs, it's political. The Times has not been a newspaper for some time.
