There was once a plan to run a bus lane and a protected bicycle lanes down Westwood Boulevard. It might have been one of Los Angeles' great promenades. Instead, NIMBYs killed the proposal, and now it's a round-the-clock car sewer where people randomly die in extremely violent ways.

People gotta fuckin stop doin this. I won't vote for Gavin Newsom. Gavin Newsom will lose. I'm saying it now so y'all have time to listen, tho you never do. But nah I ain't voting for diet fascism just because he has a D. Candidates have to do what we want to get elected, there's no fealty here.
One should not vote for the demographics one wishes but the one they have.

If the CA Gov is popular, he is better than the alternative. This is a two-party system barring a Perot laying out millions/billions to be noticed. Which could skew everything anyways.

Everybody has it backwards.

Billionaires aren’t buying up these institutions to make money. They’re buying them to kill them. Same as the oligarchs destroying government and social programs and things like weather forecasting and regulatory bodies.

They’re creating a world they control completely

Watching TV, it's amazing how many women love interest characters are referred to as "the girl". Yet when media talk about the victims of powerful pedophiles it's always "underage women". Weird.

all these calls for schumer to step down, that he’s too old, that he’s out of touch, that he doesn’t have the fight required to do the job, etc, seem pretty silly when you consider examples of people who actually become more capable into old age, such as the crypt keeper

ICE hasn't stopped brutalizing people or shredding the Constitution, it's just that corporate media turned the camera as the call for action got too loud and the Democrats stepped in and made sure the issue got changed.

If you sit for a second, you'll recognize that's what happened with BLM, too.
