i really wish that Prime 4 would be the game that kills Kensuke Tanabe's career. But this is Nintendo, so i know that won't happen. Didn't happen when he fucked up Sticker Star, doubled down with Color Splash, and made a game with a VERY SIMILAR QUALITY DISPARITY in Origami King.

This is a really good point that I had not run into before: these "creators" have no further insight into their alleged creation than the average audience member and that is why it cannot be called art (besides all the other obvious reasons).

Yeah new Expedition 33 interview was out. The generated texture was just part of them experimenting with GenAI when it was brand new years ago when they were first starting working on the game. They didn’t like it, said “it felt wrong”, stopped using it, and a single texture from that got missed.
