Gonna go even further: don't refer to it as "consuming media" when doing this. You aren't a consumer - it's not a product. You read books. You look at art. You watch movies and/or videos. Be careful about word choice.

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

You look at every culture that's ever existed and the running theme is everyone pretty much just wants to play/dance to music, make art, eat stewed meat wrapped in flat bread, and tell stories about the shapes we find in the stars. Somehow we turned that into wars and overtime and profit margins.
My problem with everything is that I know For A Fact that the purpose of life is frivolity. It is to fool around & pursue joy.

The illustration I did for the latest issue of Miam Mag, which features the eggplant. They asked specifically for a more manga-style cover to appeal to their "older young readers", and they also wanted the eggplant to be slightly hidden. I'm happy with it!

the past couple days have been weird cause 2 days ago i was crashing out, got verbally assaulted, and was feeling generally discouraged, yesterday went really well, saw a lot of friends, had a really good convo, and got complimented by a stranger, and today i almost got hit by a car 💀
