A federal judge has thrown out President Trump's lawsuit against The New York Times.

The suit, he says, "stands unmistakably and inexcusably athwart the requirements" of federal court rules.

It is "decidedly improper and impermissible."

When we get to pleading in my first-year Civil Procedure class, my students often ask me just how over the top a complaint would have to be for a judge to strike it without even being *asked* to do so.

Thanks to President Trump, we have an answer:

An abbreviation (ABB) in a journal article (JA) or Grant Application (GA) is rarely worth the words it saves. Every ABB requires cognitive resources (CR) and at my age by the time I'm halfway through a JA or GA I no longer have the CR to remember what your ABB stood for.

people keep calling RFK Jr. and anti-vaxers "eugenicists" and, while I have a very low opinion of the genocidal pseudoscience of eugenics, I have to object and say that what they believe is actually far stupider?
RFK Jr talking about the need for doctors to know how to treat measles for those who are unvaccinated.

“Only very sick kids should die from measles.”

No. They shouldn’t. That was the point of the vaccine. We eradicated the virus so children didn’t die.

Sick & disabled kids are not expendable!
