Raptors optimist, trying to be a life optimist
Lmao Blake Murphy saying so many teams got out of the tax that the incremental cost of being a tax team vs not isn’t as big anymore

This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

I really didn’t want Jakob’s career with the Raptors to end by dumping his contract and giving up a FRP. I’m probably too naively optimistic that he can come back at some point.

RJ Barrett is still a Toronto Raptor, hell yeah

How many roster spots do we have right now, if we waive/buy out CP3?

I’m expecting Raptors to convert Alijah. With him and TJD, I think we’re full.

Not knowing anything about their cap sheets, I could see Cam Thomas going to the Clippers or Hawks lol.

Play him with Mathurin or Kuminga. let’s see what it looks like.

Did Sleepy Pat not do anything?

Lol Lewenberg seems less annoying now that he’s appeared on H&W.

But tweeting out that Jakob’s value was severely impacted by his back injury is….thanks for the analysis?

Wow
Breaking: The Brooklyn Nets are waiving Cam Thomas, league sources told @hoopshypeofficial.bsky.social.

BRING HIM HOME
The Utah Jazz plan to waive Chris Boucher, a league source told @hoopshypeofficial.bsky.social. Boucher will have the opportunity to sign with a playoff team and is expected to draw interest. He’s averaged 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in his nine-year NBA career.

For those curious, at this moment there's a 47.9% chance that the Indiana Pacers' 2026 first-round pick conveys to the LA Clippers, which means the Clippers, essentially, are betting on a coin flip this year and, if it doesn't work out, locking in an unprotected pick for 2031.

Bobby call Uncle Dennis
don't mind me, I'm just looking at potential last-minute Kawhi Leonard trade destinations

What are these protections?
Clippers are receiving a 2026 first-round pick from the Pacers, protected 1-4 and 10-30 -- plus a 2029 Pacers unprotected first-rounder.

It’s so funny that the Clippers season went this way. Offseason Pablo Torre investigation.

First game getting blown out by the Jazz, CP3, guy who ate the tweet, then a dismantling. And hosting Allstar weekend soon.

But think they could have some good young players.

Part of.
Source: Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin is part of the trade going to the Los Angeles Clippers to acquire Ivica Zubac.

Which NBA teams haven’t made a single trade yet? (I know there’s almost an hour left to go until the deadline)
February 5, 2026 at 7:02 PM
If they’re still together, this is Raven Johnson’s guy. Gamecocks play on Sunday against Tennessee.
Seahawks jack of all trades Nick Emmanwori just said he’s confident he’ll play on Sunday. Low ankle sprain—avoided a major injury.

I don’t like media members using 👀 when commenting on a player sitting out

You’re a member of the media. Not a nobody fan. Especially when you actually do write about trade speculation and your sources.
