I was unaware of the depth of rage I could hold. I was also unaware that what I was told was anxiety was extreme pattern recognition.
I’m trying so hard to imagine a safe future for my children because I don’t see a lot of paths that provide that right now.

I think this is such an important distinction & reminder

like I don't owe any allegiance to the systems and structures and the machinery of power, but there are fucking beautiful extraordinary amazing people in every corner of this country and to whatever degree I'm "patriotic" it's loyalty to them

Kiddo sang at the tree lighting event. Some brave soloists were heard and the children sang their little hearts out. All were rewarded with wild applause and cheers, well deserved.

It was lovely to watch the lights brighten up the night. ❤️ Seeing people smiling was such needed jolt of joy.

Both critters have been very curious about each other. I’m so pleased with Arwyn for not attempting to eat the gecko. At one point Mocha did a gecko leap and landed on Arwyn, who didn’t even twitch.
Biggest risk is dog hair getting all over the gecko.

This nightmare has to stop
A pre-dawn multi-agency raid in Georgetown left Latino residents handcuffed, homes torn apart, and now being told to vacate without proper notice. No warrant shown. Racial targeting alleged. This is what state violence looks like.

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

It’s wild how casually we say “42 million people are on SNAP” like that’s just a normal statistic.

That’s 12% of the entire country—in the richest nation on earth—relying on government help just to eat.

That shouldn’t be a data point we shrug off.
That’s a national emergency.

Because cauliflower is five dollars a head and you can buy five pizzas with the same money.
