Not entirely sure how we're pulling off the next one. Get tickets to find out: www.overlapsocial.com/event-detail...
Each Overlap we have a new theme (or prompt) to give inspiration to anyone who needs it. 'FORTUNE' was the last one. Louis dressed as a wheel of fortune which could be spinned for variously confusing prizes including. We also had a dry ice clouded tarot card reader. The next prompt is 'IMPOSSIBLE'.

If I've learned anything from books and movies, the tiny people are always there and this is what allows us to see them.
With most psychedelic drugs, you never know what you're going to get. But this mysterious mushroom from China - without fail - causes users to hallucinate tiny people: crawling up walls, popping out from under furniture and marching under doors. www.bbc.com/future/artic...
'They saw them on their dishes when eating': The mushroom making people hallucinate dozens of tiny humans
Only recently described by science, the mysterious mushrooms are found in different parts of the world, but they give people the same exact visions.

A dramatic, if not completely disorientating montage from August. Louis summoned Brum's foremost folklore.

The 1st half was crammed with incredible talent and we raffled some Moho licenses.

Finally, Cartoon Saloon’s Giovanna Ferrari gave us an insightful behind the scenes look of Éiru.

A satisfying loop I found of me hosting at the last @overlapsocial.com. I feel very conscious of how self indulgent this can seem, but if it helps cheerlead the animation industry I can fool myself that it's not about ego stroking.

Last time Louis recounted and accidentally summoned Brum's foremost piece of folklore, the Piss Troll, while suspended in the air dressed as a fairy.

Nov 26th’s prompt is FORTUNE.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

About a year ago, I animated some scenes for Funboys.

In the end I handled most of the elements. I storyboarded it to help technical supervise filming. I did the designs, animation,FX and compositing, which wouldn't;t be ideal on a larger project, but for this it simplified marrying the elements.
