(I honestly am of the opinion that the high rate of this in ADHD folks is more indicative of high rates of anxiety and cPTSD in ADHD than the other way around.)

Worth noting this comes with a lot of neurological disorders and is something ppl theorize is developed through trauma from living in an invalidating environment growing up with said neurological conditions. Its a learned reaction in a lot of ways. Ur brain got trained to feel it.
