It's A LOT to get used to. Dual boot/install on a separate machine if you can and just mess around in Linux before you completely migrate over. Try out different distros (but read up a little, some are more user-involved than others)

If you are a habitual computer toucher this makes complete sense. If not, this sounds like all you have to do is florp your grabnorx. Simple as, right?
If you're Linux curious, here is what it's saying:

Use Debian stable with KDE desktop and use flatpak via Discover to install software. You get stability plus regular software updates this way and the KDE look and feel is kind of like a cleaned up Windows 7, very easy to jump into.
