I'm working my way through the 'The New Avengers' blu-rays. Joanna Lumley is flippin' magnificent as Purdey isn't she?

Those voices... wonderful!
#Noirvember challenge: Favorite #FilmNoir duo is Peter Lorre and Sydney Greenstreet. They were in nine movies together. A favorite is Three Strangers (1946) with Geraldine Fitzgerald. They share a lucky lottery ticket. One person places their plans to get rich quick in peril. Warner Bros.

It's 17 November.
And a neighbour is mowing his lawn.
It's not even that long.

Children of the Stones claims another soul...
I watched Children of the Stones last night, I was only 4 when it came out so I never saw it on release but obviously heard tell of it for many years, finally binged it. Absolutely incredible, it was way better than I was expecting. The music will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Just read FEVER DREAMS - the latest in Flame Tree’s ABC of Horror series - edited by Mark Morris.
It’s a great anthology of horror short stories, ranging from full-on body horror to the creepier & eerier sort. Especially enjoyed Philip Fracassi’s darkly humorous story.

Stokesay Castle in Shropshire.

Much of it was built in the 13th century by wool merchant, Laurence of Ludlow.
It is more a fortified manor house than a castle and comprises a walled, moated enclosure, with a c17th timber and plaster gatehouse at the entrance.

TV THAT TIME FORGOT: The Max Headroom Show (Channel 4, 1985-87)

Putative World's First Computer Generated Chat Show Host - Matt Frewer in a sort of rubber wig - links the Sledgehammer video and interviews with Cutting Crew with glitchingly stuttered Reagan-baiting zingers.
