Been a stressful day so I'm currently listening to Yes Live at the Apollo. Turned up loud.

First proper walk today for ~2 weeks because of the recent cold temps & general fitness issues. Legs achy & wobbly, lungs struggling, but happy to be out.

Did see, though, that our local phone box is now an emergency defibrillator. What a good idea. Might come in handy for me one day...!

Watched Stephen Gallagher’s SILENT WITNESS last night - The Legacy (from Drama channel last week).
It's a great story - chilling government conspiracy & cover-up that had echoes of Quatermass 2. Also reminded me of the science-y investigations of Eleventh Hour.
Superb stuff.

THE ECHO OF CROWS by Phil Rickman
The final Merrily Watkins story - and wonderful, as always.
Shorter then usual, but no less atmospheric & affecting, with all the typical #PhilRickman dialogue & characters. It ends beautifully, but there’s also a touch of sadness knowing there will be no more...

Just watched THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT.
A man discovers that he can time travel back to his childhood by reading his diaries.
This is a great film about how a single decision can change lives completely. It has some nifty twists & a clever but poignant resolution.
Brilliant!

Just read FEVER DREAMS - the latest in Flame Tree’s ABC of Horror series - edited by Mark Morris.
It’s a great anthology of horror short stories, ranging from full-on body horror to the creepier & eerier sort. Especially enjoyed Philip Fracassi’s darkly humorous story.

I'm glad it's Friday afternoon.
It's been one of those weeks where a lot of stuff has gone wrong, gone missing, broken or is just generally more rubbish than usual.
