He honestly did a great job directing his own work in a different medium. It's an engaging and visually rich effort, Roth and Oldman nail the lead performances leading a solid ensemble cast, and the use of Pink Floyd's "Seamus" in an instrumental (but still with dog!) mix as the theme is inspired.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990) is on YouTube.

Gary Oldman and Tim Roth star in Tom Stoppard's big screen adaptation of his own stage play, itself a play on Shakespeare's Hamlet.

RIP to one of the best to ever do it. Absolute powerhouse and a legend.

A theatrical sensation since the 1960s, whose dramas included Arcadia, The Real Thing and Leopoldstadt, Stoppard also had huge success as a screenwriter

Remember with this upcoming holiday season that this nation was accidentally stumbled upon and eventually founded by people desperately trying to find a short cut to the land of Spices. The least you could do this season, is buy some fresh ones, use them generously & use more then 5.

@nickcharles.bsky.social hey some friends and I are putting together a little noirvember thing and I thought I’d ask what your favourite lesser known/deep cut noirs are? Classic or neo. Of all my friends you’re the most knowledgable on this kinda thing.

PSA to my friends: if you post/repost a lot of memes I will probably mute you. I have never liked memes and a lot of that shit has alt-right origins so I don’t wanna see that.

The first two months post-op were a breeze. Almost no pain, not much swelling, it was amazing.
Now I’m in month three and all the pain and swelling that hadn’t happened before are happening with a vengeance, and the meds are barely touching it. WTF?

I keep having nightmares of Maeve (my cat) getting trapped by/left behind in a natural disaster. I need to figure out what I can do in my waking life to soothe my subconscious mind about this. I’m weary of cutting my sleep short to avoid re-entering those dreams.

Thoughts:

It's not debating, it's shouting over people and gaslighting them so that their frustrated reactions make you go viral.

I am also very wary of people who think we should spend more time talking people out of their bigotry than helping those directly affected by their bigotry.

How’s about we make hubbub and ruckus about the children who got shot today, and the 45 other school shootings this year, and not overshadow it with one singular asshole grownup getting got?

If you see something graphic a thing you can do is not instinctively hit repost but take a few seconds and consider if everyone wants to be traumatized by that and choose not to be the person who forces it into their feed non consensually.
