Just one of those woke folk a wandering.
What I have learnt from watching Monsters Ed Gein.
He was alot younger than his real life photos would have you believe. Also he was surprisingly buff.

People who buy into this shit about leaving the ECHR, are just like the folk who voted for brexit - i.e. they don’t for one second think it will affect them in any way.
Its the Leopards Eating People’s Faces party all over again.

UK hasn’t seen poverty like this for 60 yrs, says Gordon Brown in call to scrap two-child benefit cap.

Tory govt imposed it. Labour continuing with it. Starmer removed whip from 7 MPs who opposed it.

What is the mentality of Ministers condemning children to poverty, blighting futures?

A lot of the British media seem more concerned with people complaining about the genocide than the actual genocide itself.

I do wonder how the trans people JK Rowling knows and loves are getting on. She'll probably start marching with them any day now. On account of her empathy. 😀

Sorry but I just don't feel comfortable sharing public toilets with transphobes. At any moment they could just demand to have a look at my gennies. The law should protect women's spaces from these creeps.

Jeez this is awful. Resolution Foundation warns changes to rules for PIP disability benefit could cost up to 1.2m people between £4,200 and £6,300 a year. What is this government thinking? Has it gone completely mad?

This is a seminal moment: a Labour government cutting disability benefits. Not just continuing Tory levels. Cutting.

This comes after a week of speculation, itself an act of cruelty by a government toying with people’s dignity.

These cuts are disgraceful - and they will cost lives.

Europe must trim its welfare state to build a warfare state.

Neoliberals targeting the old, poor, sick, disabled; spending on education, healthcare, pension, transport.

Neoliberal silence on curbing corporate welfare, subsidies, profiteering, tax dodging; making the rich pay.

Denying refugees citizenship simply on the grounds that they arrived here “illegally” on small boats *when there are no legal routes* for most to use takes cynicism to new heights. If Govt thinks such performative cruelty will see off Reform, they’re wrong - it’s more likely to strengthen it

The only burden to society are the billionaires, everyone else only gets what they need or what they earn.

But the billionaires do nothing but steal stuff that they don't need.

Imagine if instead of saying we must cut services for everyone, we said we must cut profits for the rich.

They won't even suffer because they are already millionaires/billionaires.

So I say, do that.

Mick Lynch wants a progressive wealth tax with the richest paying the same as everyone else on PAYE, 47%.

That would bring in hundred of billions, it is time for the richest to pay what everyone else has been paying their whole lives.

Statement goes on: "UK debt is the second lowest in the G7 and only the OBR’s forecast can accurately predict how much headroom the government has - anything else is pure speculation"...and says Reeves is going to leave "no stone unturned in her determination to deliver economic growth".

This reminds me of the time I was talking to a friend about the new King Kong film and she asked if I was going to see it. And I said no because I found it sad when he dies at the end and she was fuming with me for spoiling the end of a film that had been out since the 1930's.
Sharing one incidental detail from a film that's been out for two weeks — particularly when that film is a remake of a film that came a century ago with "new" elements borrowed from a book that came out 130 years ago that itself has been made into dozens of films — does not constitute a spoiler.

Felling a 180 year old oak tree for a temporary bridge is madness. I assume it's the easy option for LCC, not the best option. What a short sighted terrible decision if it goes ahead.
