"Palestinian witnesses have reported that some prisoners were alive at the time they were taken for organ extraction. In one batch of bodies, the organs removed were those commonly transplanted: heart, liver, lungs... Here, the surgeon acts as—is—a soldier."

I'm honestly speechless.

This is the thing the cultural commodity spectacle of Super Bowl Sunday requires we bracket: the sport is predicated on human sacrifice.

The players you watch today are being killed in front you, slowly, whether it looks like it or not.

And the NFL can only get away with it because *we* watch.
no matter how hard you twist and turn to justify it, tackle football will never be an ethical form of commodity spectacle

sorry to bring this over here but being overwhelmed by decanting olives is both very normal and the natural logical conclusion of infantilizing people who are neurodivergent and insisting that this is terminal, that there’s no cure to being overwhelmed by a project with moving parts

Lots of regular degular, never-done-an-activism folks have been activated in recent months and are working alongside a bunch of seasoned, die-hard, been-tired-for-ten-years-or-more organizers, and you don't know all of those stories bc most people are moving with a bit of discretion in these times.

I don’t think movement work should cater to the lowest common denominator in order to build momentum - it’s our job to help people who are just waking up and showing up for the first time to grow class consciousness and understand understand abolitionist principles that drive movements

You can gently say it sure but I promise you if your org is infiltrated it’s not doing minor property damage and this kind of thinking is more damaging than lighting a trash can on fire.

Good vs. Bad protester is a harmful dichotomy and not everyone you perceive as “hurting the cause” is a fed
Can I gently say even if your only goal is to observe the state, it's still the case that sometimes the state wears a beanie and attended your same training session and says "Fuck ICE" and then suddenly starts lighting a trashcan on fire. Not all state actors wear labeled uniforms.
