I just want to remind you all that states where book bans are common, like FL, TX, SC, TN, IA, UT and others, are home to many people who do support the freedom to read and the First Amendment. It does no good to write off these states and their people, who still deserve our support.

Labyrinth and The Last Unicorn were favorites of mine as a kid, I'm forever devastated that I didn't see The Dark Crystal until adulthood.
Watching dark crystal as an adult made me upset cause my child self totally missed out on this. I would’ve adored it. Mind you never ending story was one of my favorite films as a child and it’s similar to dark crystal. I love the dark fantasy 80’s movies

Stand strong everyone, the establishment will bring out every dirty trick in the book in an attempt to suppress the wish of the people.
I think that the outcome in the NY Mayoral race and the Wisconsin Supreme Court race both show that people power CAN beat the political money machine. That should give us all hope, and the motivation to work for the government we want.
