I taught myself how to crochet 6 months ago and I’m pretty happy about it

It's not a foolproof plan but every political debate from now on should be a Normal Guy competition. Ask them to describe grocery shopping in detail. Talk about what it's like to have a friend

I watched Friendship with Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd and really felt like Tenacious D’s song Friendship should’ve been played at some point during or after the film. Not just bc they have the same name, but the song fits the movie.

Here’s the most obvious tattoo. It’s my eldest’s middle name “Lorien” in elvish. I’ll never not be fucking obsessed

So 2 of my kids have names that come from directly Lord of the Rings. I have tattoos representing all 3 kids in a way related to LOTR. I love their names deeply, but when anyone asks I can’t help but get kinda flushed cheeks

I just watched Superman - LOVED it - but did I make up that people thought it was political? Or woke? Like what could be woke about it? Literally good vs evil? So weird

Sometimes I think of Ryan Gosling’s I’m Just Ken Oscar performance and kinda hyperventilate bc of how good it is

I am so fucking confused. I have never voted for a republican, never supported conservative policies, and work quite hard to volunteer and canvas for the most socially benefitting, anti-right wing policies and politicians that exist. Yet somehow I’m drinking MAGA Koolaid? Baffling logic.

Doesn’t everyone say blinker?? I’m from Texas and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone actually say turn signal, it’s simply a blinker!
What’s something people in Massachusetts or New England say that you don’t really hear anywhere else?

I’ll go first:

“Blinker (Blinkah)” = “Turn Signal”

It should be no more socially acceptable to say “I don’t like children” than it is to say “I don’t like [group of people]” and we HAVE to stop treating it like a legitimate preference. It ISN’T okay to not like kids.

No one wants to hear this but women who don’t have children think being a tradwife is an alternative to burnout because we have made being a working mother so fucking miserable and hard. Until working moms can thrive this shit is going to persist and persist and we can choose differently.
Most attendees of a MAGA summit for women in Dallas had come not so much for advice on how to lead, but how to live. They got clear marching orders. “Less Prozac, more protein,” said Alex Clark, a wellness influencer who headlined the weekend.

The wellness influencer universe is resonating with people who might not otherwise be drawn to politics.

My husband and I both thought we were done after 2, but then we had a surprise 3rd. Since we didn’t fully decide to try for #3, it’s different, but even after finding out we were pregnant, being able to talk about how we felt good and bad was hugely important

My husband and I with our eldest 2 at a Ranger’s game. We had the DOPEST people sitting behind us. Does anyone remember sitting behind us who lives in Frisco remember us?! We talked about playing COD zombies. Y’all were fucking awesome - lmk if it’s y’all!

My 2yo’s daycare told me she threw food at snack time today and when I brought it up to talk about how we don’t throw food with her later, she started laughing so hard and said “goldfish ALL in Lucy’s hair”

I just realized I didn’t have to just lie here and feel guilty that I can’t study for my summer courses or do work bc my mind and body aren’t working due to the strep. I can just play call of duty zombies all day while the kids are at summer camp…ok this could be fun

I have strep throat and I have never felt so sick in my entire life. Worst sickness by a million miles. On day 3 and honestly feel worse. 0/10 do not recommend
