Apparently, some people who follow me didn't get the memo about Orwell being a cop, a snitch and a rabid anti-communist.

Pinning this.

Was Orwell secretly a reactionary snitch? How the author became an internet meme and target of the hard left
In 1949 the man who conceived Big Brother gave a semi-secret government department a list of 38 ‘crypto-communists’ and ‘fellow travellers’ – a revelation that has given rise to a peculiar revisionism...

Necessary but not sufficient.

He knew. And still appointed him.

Starmer needs to go.

The Telegraph's "Chomsky was not a Mossad agent" t-shirt has me asking all kinds of questions that were already answered by the t-shirt.

I knew he was in the Epstein files, but I just assumed that he was one of the many academics that Epstein flattered, bribed or blackmailed.

But now I'm not sure.

Photoshopped to show Ref posters but the occupier was in and isn't best please with M Goodwin.
only because i keep seeing this on my tl from multiple sources: the image on the right looks like it's the exact same photo, but edited to remove the reform banners. the door looks very strange, and they also apparently forgot to remove what looks like a small reform sticker in the window

Material conditions have shifted dramatically in the last 12 years.

In order for consumerism to actually pacify people, they need to have a realistic prospect of actually consuming.

If you can't afford groceries or rent, then the trappings of consumerism rapidly become meaningless.
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

It's important to remember we're not "all the same."

Across Labour, there are hundreds of hardworking MPs, councillors and activists who are want to deliver change in their communities. We cannot let "Scandelson" get in the way of our values.

Apparently, in 1949, Mao said that it would take 15 five year plans to catch up with the USA technologically.

5 x 15 = 75
1949 + 75 = 2024

Looks like the Chairman was right!

Morgan McSweeney, architect of the smear campaign and key player in the blocking of left-wing candidates, is out of Downing Street. There's nothing 'honourable' about his resignation, because it's a ploy to try and save Starmer's worthless, corrupt, inept arse. It won't. Starmer is cooked.

Every day it's becoming clearer and clearer:

Gorton & Denton is between the Green Party and Reform.

And the Greens have plans to lower bills, protect the NHS and rebuild our public services.

Join.greenparty.org.uk
Not only in the Manchester by-election, but across the country, it's becoming clear: it's Greens vs Reform.

And the Green Party will win ✅️

Although I am critical of Corbyn in many respects, I have to give him props for the fact that the *only* mentions of him in the Epstein files are along the lines of "he must be stopped".

All "formidable political strategists" in the capitalist world are just pimping out the politicians they "advise" to media moguls and business oligarchs.

But when the media and business interests judge that they would get a better return on their investment elsewhere, it all falls apart.
A lot of these formidable political strategist are just really shit in the cold light of day aren't they

I doorsteped people in North Birmingham today the number of "voted labour, never again" answers I got were coming in faster than the rain.
The second most frequent "we need a real change, people who have come in say one thing and do another"
But the last was "wait the greens are viable? I'll look"

Only the Green Party can stop Reform.

Lower bills, tax the rich, protect the NHS. We will win.
