Today, the US House voted 214-208 to pass HJ Res. 140, a resolution that would undo a 20-year ban on mining near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and throughout the surrounding watershed in northern Minnesota. That ban existed for a reason the land drains directly into the Boundary Waters,

Here in Portland there was an incident yesterday. Three men in tactical gear ripped a man out of his car at gunpoint, in a private driveway. They then said they were looking for someone else and ran away laughing. DHS won’t answer inquiries. www.portlandmercury.com/news/2026/01...

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

A much needed chuckle. Nothing as embarrassing as being unable to control your vehicle while people watch and laugh. I dread winter cuz i would die if I'm ever caught in one of those videos 😂 that's why I don't drive on ice. Or join ice.
This morning in Minneapolis, an ICE vehicle got stuck on an icy hill in a residential neighborhood. Agents had to push the vehicles out, some almost slipping in the ice themselves.

I've seen a lot of Europeans especially saying they're shocked at what's happening here and how did this happen and why is no one in power doing anything, and I'm begging you all to take a hard long look at your own systems of governance with an eye to the insidious racism that lurks EVERYWHERE
Honestly, what is happening now, what's being ALLOWED now (even by those in power who wring their hands and write strongly worded tweets against the regime) is all white supremacy and end stage capitalism completely mask off and in its final form. And it has roots in all of Europe too. Stay sharp.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.
