Dan, the NL Public Liberry's home delivery guy, slipped in a surprise on his last run: William Ping's "Hollow Bamboo". So far, it's another "Whaddahoot!" novel. A bit of humourous fantasy reminiscent of some of Christopher Moore's _ @theauthorguy.bsky.social _ stuff.

OK. If you're in NL, go open your outside door and look to the east at the moon. Everytime I see the moon, day or night, I feel as though I were an alien visitor from a moonless planet and wonder why the local inhabitants aren't all standing outside and pointing at it and going, "WOW!"

Yow! Whadda head trip. I've been enjoying the new-to-me Blake Crouch's "Recursion" right after reading his "Dark Matter", of which it has echoes. Besides being a rollicking good ride, this techno-thriller makes me look at the physical world and memory differently.
