It speaks volumes about the Hungarian electorate. Orban and his party didn't just appear out of the blue - their society created them and voted them. Illiberals are NOT dictators.
The fact that Bulgaria, with its insane corruption and ridiculous mismanagement and a perpetual political crisis, joined the eu later and received less money than Hungary, but still managed to close the post communist economic gap faster than them, should tell you something about Orban.

Counterpoint: The story of the Trump era is in part a story of the collapse of any idea of public civic virtue, and the left needs to respond by reclaiming the language of character and morality. For many, this moral language is going to come from religion, and we need to be comfortable with that.

Good thread from one of the Godot maintainers, who like many maintainers, are exhausted from slop PRs effectively DDoS'ing them.
Since GitHub / Microsoft's business incentives align with encouraging this stuff, using a non-GitHub forge is currently a better experience. (Maybe not for long.)

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.
If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

Godot's GitHub has increasingly many pull requests generated by LLMs and it's a MASSIVE time waster for reviewers – especially if people don't disclose it. Changes often make no sense, descriptions are extremely verbose, users don't understand their own changes… It's a total shitshow. #godotengine
