Labor Secretary Frances Perkins’ first challenge in office was figuring out what to do with Section 24, a gang of immigration agents who were causing chaos with “highly visible and extreme” raids on immigrant communities.

So she defunded them.

Not for nothing, really moved by @ag.state.mn.us noting that MN is targeted because it welcomes the refugee, offers paid family leave, and makes free lunch free for kids. Those policies reflect values - and make them better able to care for/advocate for their neighbors and stand against tyranny.

The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.
Analysis by The Marshall Project of ICE data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found that the Trump administration’s revival of family detention has swept thousands of children into ICE custody. At least 3,800 children under 18, including 20 infants, have been booked since Trump took office.

In addition to immigrant groups and mutual aid, why not send Minnesotans some dash cams?
ICE observers in the Twin Cities are in need of dash cams to prevent further intimidation and frivolous claims.

Cams are $110, memory cards $35, and ship to us directly via this wish list: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...

If you've been looking for a way to help, we'd sure appreciate it!

This figure has been ticking up all year. This is now the highest unemployment rate Black women have faced in 4 years, since mid-2021.
