Nitpicky, but the NPR framing (which I know you didn’t write) is a little off: SNAP money isn’t “running out.” There’s USDA emergency funding that’s required to be used during shutdowns, but the Trump Admin is illegally choosing to withhold it. www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...

I sat on a DC superior court grand jury for 6 weeks in 2023 and out of about 60 cases where we took votes (nearly all for multiple charges), we only *didn’t* return an indictment for one charge. We still indicted the person in question for other stuff. The AG staff were pissed and made fun of us.
