This is a number that's worth having in your head to get a sense of the scale of the issue here. The same amount of need. One tenth of the support. That's not business as usual. That's a sudden and utterly preventable cataclysm.

Importantly, unlike trans people, transphobes absolutely won’t suffer to live their identity. They hurt trans people because they can get away with it, and if they stop getting away with it, all but, like, three of them will cut it out.
We need to push for the total exclusion of transphobes from public life. Trans-eliminationists can then be faced with a choice of shutting the fuck up or a miserable life (more miserable than they already are).

There's something so wild about admitting there is no compromising with transphobes and then wishing for better transphobes with whom to compromise. Realizing there's no reason to sacrifice the dignity and autonomy of your own community and it makes you angry because you wanted that reason.

This story is a little grim from the point of view of humans but it’s pretty cute if you imagine them as mosquito explorers. One of them has a little tiny compass and one has a pith hat, and when they land, they fly to the ground and kiss it with their proboscises
In horror movies, you've always got a community of side characters who just kind of accept that there's one place near where they live that's cursed and evil and you're never, ever allowed to go there, and I relate to that because it's basically how I handle cleaning my apartment
