with fanfest coming back around people are reflecting on the furry covid comic about it but as someone who went, there were shockingly few people actually wearing masks. if you go this year i’d really recommend an N95. people knowingly go to huge public events with infectious diseases.

fellow creative freelancers: cannot recommend the good folks at brass taxes enough. they'll walk you through everything, they understand media industry forms, they have a super helpful worksheet, and the payment you send them is also tax deductible for next year. worth every penny if you can spare

So, just to be clear, in addition to sending queer people out into the cold to starve or freeze to death, the SA also:
- provides food services for ICE
- provides correctional services to the carceral system
- union busts

The apartment building my Grandparents were living in burned down when my mother was a baby. The Salvation Army assisted the other tenants with emergency housing. They wouldn't help my Mom's family because they were Jewish.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season
