100 Years of Black History Month, & Saturday AM is PROUD to have critically acclaimed MANGA starring black heroes.

Launching 13 years ago, there were some who doubted minority-led manga (creators or characters) could succeed.

Fortunately, they were wrong.

I've said before...

'Kawaii' is a state of mind 😊

It's not a skin color, sex, gender, height, weight, whatever. If you are kawaii in your heart and soul, then you ARE kawaii!

Trust me, I lived the 'kawaii' life in the late 1990s and early 2000s! 😉
After some chungus on Twitter said "u cant be kawaii n blk," Black kawaii fans worldwide & JP users united to shout them down. One wrote: "Don't belittle Japan's kawaii. Calling it incompatible w/ a skin color is nonsense. What's incompatible w/ kawaii is being a racist like you."

Alright everybody. With the storm coming, make sure you have enough provisions, check on your neighbors (even more so now), keep your pets safe and warm, and don't be jerks to each other.

The cats and I are ready for the storm. Be careful out there ❄️

Good advice for anybody facing down this winter storm:
Flashlights (not candles). Smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Knowing where the vents to your home are so you can clear them of snow. Do it all. We're being given so much time with this storm.

Thanks to everyone who's sharing the news of my book launch! Spreading the word about new books is one of the best things you can do for an author. Buying the book is great, and talking about it is great, and social media shares can add many extra sales!
