Tabbing away from my brother’s wedding photos to Google “best tacos near me” just really emblematic of where I’m at, broadly speaking

Hot take but it might actually helpful to the left to have the token conservative assuaging the moderates.

Reminder for Maine GOP: on the low end, a tipped worker in Maine makes ~$37,500/year. The average income tax cut that HR 1 gives Mainers earning more than $817k/year is $37,540.

Oh also, "no tax on tips" is temporary. The income tax cuts are permanent. #MEpolitics t.co/770rNMfEQC

It’s frankly stunning how the establishment continues to characterize themselves as the safe option when their candidates and policies put us in greater jeopardy with every election. Just really amazing stuff 🤌🏼

There is a lot of confusion in the media around Medicaid work requirements in HR 1. ***Work reqs just apply to the Medicaid expansion population***

(States that want to impose work reqs on “regular” Medicaid recipients can still do that through the normal process/apply for a waiver through CMS).

Yesterday was Bisexual Visibility Day but we celebrate year-round by being semi-visible. For example, a Denver Man™️ just asked me if my boot are from [low-quality brand] and I told him no, they're Redwings and is he familiar with the Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness?

"what's the point of AOC and Bernie's fight oligarchy tour?" This. This is the point. Handing the mic to community leaders who are as fed up as the rest of us and have the courage to run. Like Sam, like @daveyseligman.bsky.social, like @carolinegleich.bsky.social (just to name a few).

Missoula smokejumper Sam Forstag, a local union leader and wildland firefighter, is considering running against GOP Rep. Ryan Zinke in MT-01 (Trump+12, Tester+1), per 3 sources familiar. No decision expected before November.

This webinar on the Rural Health Transformation Fund is just CMS employees reading slides…. seemingly at gunpoint like they look so scared and haven’t blinked in the last hour

A tight timeline that sends states scrambling to compete for scarce resources is just another way the Trump Admin is weaponizing bureaucracy to impoverish the people.
The NOFO is out for the Rural Health Transformation Fund - very fast timeline. App deadline for states is 11/5 and Grants will be awarded 12/31.

Sounds like a fun holiday season for CMS employees!

I heard David speak last night and yeah, the guy who, off the cuff, quotes FDR and Isaiah 58 is getting my vote to be Colorado’s lawyer.

I hope he’ll get yours too. secure.actblue.com/donate/david...

Renters across our state have too little power in a housing market often rigged against them. So proud to meet with renters last night to talk about what it means to be an Attorney General for renters, how we can level the playing field, and building power in tenant unions. #copolitics

BREAKING: Workers at Yosemite and Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Parks just won their union elections.

✨I’m so glad you asked✨

Colorado is going into special session today to re-balance the state budget after HR 1 blew a $1b hole in the current year budget. The state’s balanced budget took effect July 1, and on July 4th when HR 1 was signed, the state was plunged immediately back into a hole.
Could you expand on this a bit? Eg, Is it related to changed in income tax exemptions, federal investments which are being cancelled, etc

AI Industry Playbook:

1) Limit Coloradans' ability to protect against AI intrusion.
2) Make the state AG the sole enforcement entity.
3) Rely on the state's structural deficit to underfund the AG's Office and hamper the AG's ability to do *any* consumer protection.

4) Profit.
NEWS: To help tech lobbyists, Colorado lawmakers are convening an emergency session to try to pass a bill blocking DAs & watchdog groups from filing lawsuits accusing AI giants of violating consumer protection laws.

The bill is a national template for states aiming to give Big Tech legal immunity.
The Plot To Outlaw AI Lawsuits
State lawmakers are pushing a bill that would prohibit consumers from suing businesses whose AI use potentially violates consumer protection laws.

The only thing you need to know about Colorado’s $1b budget hole is that Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill gave the top 1% of Coloradans a collective $2.26b tax cut. Recapture that $, fix the budget hole.

Math, as they say, is real.
