I just watched Horny Hong Kong Robbie Rotten get wrapped in sexy tongues, set on fire and explode and even though I've been watching for over an hour I feel like I have zero context for this (complimentary).

this mythical 'cis person who supports your social transition and effortlessly uses your name and pronouns and respects your gender identity but also really really really hates that youre medically transitioning' DOES NOT EXIST. this is a LIE. you are LYING.

I don't fuck with AI because it is being used to ruin the things I care about. If I could destroy it, I would. Sewer rat might taste like pumpkin pie, but I'll never know because I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfucker.

As someone with a number of custom tattoos ranging from meaningful to silly, I think there's also an element of vulnerability that comes with commissioning art of any sort that a fair few people don't want to experience.

Post a banger not in English

Going to embarrass myself with the song that rewired my brain and got me into metal and music more generally.

Thanks Jeremy!

Old Habits Die Hard is my dark fantasy novelette.

Br Statius must come out of exile for a heist on his old monastery, as even saints need rescuing, sometimes

Equal parts a love letter to action movies, Cadfael, & random crap from my PhD. It's one of my favourite things I've written

Today's a great day to support some creators.

Writers and artists and creatives of all sorts: reply with a link to one of your works, if you'd like. And feel free to tell us about it.

Everyone: let's check through the replies and buy some creations and support some human beings.

It's no wonder our local ginger boy is scared of him (they have regular staring matches outside our house).

Went out to visit our little fern garden to decompress, then turned around and saw that one of my neighbours absolutely does not approve of me being in my own garden.

Of all the easy things you can do to help the environment, conserve water for communities not corporations, not perpetuate scams, support the labor and rights of creators... *not* using generative AI is the fucking easiest. You absolutely deserve to be shamed for using it for image and text creation

I just have very little patience with people scolding progressives about abandoning Labour.

They told us to f off. And they continue doing that.

Normally every time I finish a fantasy story it's far too *long* for the appropriate/intended markets, but this time it's too short.

One day I will hit the sweet spot.

Going over old publications is fun because I get to watch my pronouns slowly creep across the gender spectrum like, come on girl, you're so close to getting it 😭

Dipping into old PhD books for story inspiration and this collection of essays on Medieval Holiness & Masculinity clearly annoyed Past Me on both theological and gender levels (in a way that, given I came out as a woman a couple of years after I last read this, really shouldn't surprise me).
