I love the rain, books, have ADHD, numbers make me squeal in delight, and politics rule me right now b/c none of us have enough privilege to not care.

The sun and loud noises make me cranky.

Oregon's Attorney General and Portland area DAs just told the feds they'll prosecute excessive force by federal agents in the state—citing evidence from the trial that shut down Trump's National Guard plan for Portland.
Oregon to Feds: Rein in Your Officers or We'll Prosecute
Prosecutors in Oregon are warning the US justice department to rein in federal agents who’ve repeatedly used excessive force on protesters, immigrants and even local police. A joint letter from Oregon...

We’re grateful to partner with Lincoln County and Newport Fishermen’s Wives in lawsuits to restore Newport's search-and-rescue helicopter.

This helicopter isn’t a luxury—it’s a critical part of how we keep people alive on the Oregon Coast.

For the record, I don’t believe anyone is guilty for being brown. And that illegal search and seizure is against basic human rights.
WTF 🤬
ICE in DC is setting up racially driven checkpoints and roadblocks. This is one on Canal Road. A large number of vehicles can be seen waiting to be towed after these agents disappeared their owners.

What a colossal whine. Quick some CNN some cheese!
It's not just "consumer smart" it reduces environmental waste, key materials are often mined in slave conditions. The whole tenor of the article is wrong - why is the economy so dependent on us engaging in mass waste?

Anyone know how find out who owns a helicopter?? We have a non- coast guard helicopter flying over our town at really low altitude. Old ppl freaking out it’s ICE (which is nice to see their concern but we are a stupidly white community)

Oregon National Guard General Alan Gronewold:

“Yes, if you give an order that directs a soldier to commit a criminal act, they should disobey that."

The only person who thinks the contrary is a 34-count convicted felon, who wouldn't pay himself for the crime committed by the soldier.

I have seen several posts like this today. My good buddy (disabled in duty army vet), and I have talked about this. One thing he points out is the risk of being called a traitor for disobeying an order. It’s punishable by death at most, life of extreme hard labor at best. And fair trials depends …
If you receive an illegal order, you have a duty to disobey.

This isn’t controversial.

A President calling for the execution of anyone who reminds service members of this oath is showing us why the duty to disobey illegal orders is so important in the first place.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here
