Made a new poster of Robert Johnson with a bunch of period correct details. I looked at the original Vocalion record sleeves/disc labels to pull decorative framing elements. The font (redrawn) is from the 30's. The clothes, guitar and portrait are all based on 30's photos. Star marks his birthplace.

I think one issue we're seeing is that ai is almost custom-designed to appeal to executives: a sycophantic yes-man who repeats your own ideas back to you and tells you you're brilliant.
They're convinced that if the little people just give it a chance, it will be the most successful product ever

I just realized I did meet Will Eisner and had a conversation with him. That's a pretty good one
Crystal and I were talking today and it came up that I am two degrees of separation away from both Adolf Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer. I'd like to be two degrees away from somebody good. Like Mr. Rogers, or Eleanor Roosevelt. Do I know anybody who knew Mr. Rogers or Eleanor Roosevelt?

The other day I was at Winco, which doesn't accept credit cards. The woman in line in front of me didn't have a debit card or cash, so I agreed to give her a hundred in cash and she sent me a hundred on Apple Pay.

I get why people are posting "ice killed an american citizen" but I don't want them killing anybody. An american citizen isn't any more or less valuable than a Venezuelan citizen or a Chinese citizen or a citizen of anywhere else

Me: No solo cartoonist should be expected to draw comics with the same detail level and complexity as comics created by multi-person teams. We should accept less intensive methods and results more readily for them.

I opened my google news page and there's all these columns analyzing trump's reasons for doing things and stop it. He's a power-crazed tyrant. That's it. There is no deeper reasoning here. He wants to exercise state violence to feel powerful.

I finally went through the rigamarole of getting back into my Jonny Crossbones account on twitter so I could delete it. It had been locked down for some reason and I had to jump through some hoops to get it unlocked. My main account has been deleted for a couple years but now everything's erased.
