Profile picture supplied by my then 8yo nephew, featuring he and I playing boardgames. It must be a co-op game, because it doesn't look like he's destroying me.

There's a fight scene in leverage that has stuck in my brain for years (partially because it's one of the only flirty fights the show did) where the characters are fighting in an industrial setting and knocking each other into/breaking water pipes.

yes it ends pretty much how you think.
Jackie Chan's the obvious point-to, but you don't have to acrobat your way through the environment for it be incorporated. Memorable fight scenes are the ones aggressively rooted in a specific locale, incorporating that locale and the elements within it. 3/

Tales from the Cockpit reached its #ZineTopia goal @backerkit.com, so we're trying for a stretch goal: a SECOND print run, this time for The Cog That Remains, a Wretched & Alone solo #ttrpg about a mecha mechanic and their effort to keep their machine intact! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/s...

Hi! Go to your library and check out a free book! Maybe a comic! Read more! It's good for your brain. 15 minutes a day can build a practice!

Had an urge to watch some Lower Decks last night so I cracked my blu-ray set and I gotta say, there is a noticeable difference in quality between the discs and watching it on streaming! Everything is crisper in ways that I didn't expect to notice.

Anyway, buy your favourite shows on physical media!

Tried to think of Gloria Estefan's name, today.
Brain, very helpfully, supplied Alanis Morissette and Aretha Franklin.
Gee, thanks.

Celebrate with Seamus! Support his cool games!
Tales from the Cockpit has surpassed its goal @backerkit.com! Get a solo #ttrpg of a giant robot, its many pilots, and passage of time (+several digital game add-ons), and keep the cogs turning towards success as I put together a stretch goal! #ZineMonth #ZineTopia www.backerkit.com/c/projects/s...

Inking/painting more of the big LOTR figure set and I'm up to Éomer. His pencils (right) never clicked for me - proportions wrong, horse wonky, I felt like he oughtta have a lance instead of a sword but couldn't make it fit, etc. Redid it this morning (new version on left) and am much happier.

This is one of my favorite optical illusions, because even when you know specifically HOW IT WORKS, it's still hard to make your brain believe it.

The image below is real-world video, but you're being tricked into believing it's an elaborate miniature by the DIORAMA EFFECT.

Let's talk about it.

With a friend checking on an appointment:
Her: I'm going to have to call them. It's not on my calendar.
Tiny Tikus: Oh no
Might I speak for the benefits of having an alert noise that makes you smile?
Mine is @maddambeltaine.bsky.social as Tiny Tikus saying, in a tiny voice, "Oh, no."

Six Ships. I'm very much in the Chris Foss school of thought when it comes to colour, rather than SW or ST.
