Today I reflect on how grateful I am for those who fought dictatorships and nazis for my freedom. I also remember all the medics who worked under incredible pressure. I remember the service animals who must have felt so scared. I am grateful to those at home who kept going.

Populism never works whether left or right
Share this with every single person who thinks that Rachel Reeves can use only a wealth tax to fill fiscal gaps. The Treasury would be unlikely to see a penny until 2029. In short, we cannot fund November's budget with a wealth tax.

I’ve never given up hope that these two will be properly questioned by police and that there will be justice for that little girl. They know the truth.
It's been 18 years since Madeleine McCann vanished, and her parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, have never abandoned hope.

Especially at a time when they are being cautious about new members looking at probationary periods etc
EU here: we've no interest in you "rejoining". next change of government and you'll march right out again. if you want to talk, sort out your own house first. we've learned to live without you, and we don't want to go back to constant wheedling for opt-outs.
Rachel Reeves says we have a £25 billion black hole
Rachel Reeves knows Brexit makes us £40 billion poorer
Rejoining the EU would give us a £15 billion surplus
Why doesn't Labour want what's best for the UK?
Tax rises? That'll be Brexit

Everyone getting used to it yet? A PM who engages with the people and most importantly young people. We haven’t seen this happening for what feels like a lifetime. Even more important. A politician who can actually make things happen because he WON AN ELECTION.

John Swinney was attacking Labour for not doing this in June 2024.
It's disingenuous, deliberate deception and hypocrisy that relies on people not paying attention.

Absolutely. Farage telling people you can have everything you want from promising some dystopian nightmare. Polanski telling people you can have everything they want promising the moon on a stick. Two sides of the same cycle of populism.
People begging for me and millions of others to abandon Labour for Polanski etc.
But even if we ignore his sketchy history his plans are left populism on steroids. They can’t work and if he tried he would destroy the economy
Fascists or Economic lunacy. All because people buy the easy arguments
