Had a look at income tax in 1945 and applied them to 2025 dollars. Unlike today, there are 24 brackets; 20 split differences between 100k+ up to 3.6M+
In other words, if you make under 70k, you wouldn't be taxed more than 25%. If you make 100k-1M, you might be taxed anywhere from 29-78%.

Kinda reminds me of how the guy who did the study about wolves having an "alpha" in the pack later retracted it bc he realized his study of wolves in captivity was not the natural way wolves acted when free.
