It’s time for my annual list of awards-eligible works.

These are the books I edited/published in 2025.

The three novellas at the top, the 5 novels in the second row, and the 6 collections in row three are all eligible for awards consideration in their respective categories.

(contd...)
I'm very late to the party, but FROM on NowTV in the UK is one of the most enjoyable TV horror series I've seen in years!

That's a *very* odd combination for pizza topping!
And to be honest, there’s something to it. I*claim* to be Italian, but I’m actually Messapian. We don’t even eat chicken at all. We eat RAW HORSE MEAT. And gelato.
A great lunch this week with Francesco Dimitri (@messapianfrank.bsky.social‬, author of PAN) & @sophiamcdougall.bsky.social (translator of PAN). Francesco *claims* to be Italian, but when I offered him a slice of my pizza he said no, just because it had southern fried chicken and curry sauce on it!

I watch a *lot* of musical theatre. This was by far my favourite show of last year—a brand new show that needs some help to get it to the next stage (being seen by industry insiders and potential investors). The soundtrack (according to Spotify) was my most-listened-to album of 2025!
greenlit.com/project/unfo... Well - this is scary stuff, but what's the BEST than can happen? Every little helps towards our budget for a two-week rehearsal and workshop leading up to a London industry sharing for www.unfoldingthemusical.com xx Your shares and comments keep this alive. Thank you!🎇

Another awesome thing happened at AggieCon yesterday: I was given the Copperhead Award for contributions to Texas Fandom. It is an enormously cool piece of bronze sculpture made by artist Vincent Villafranca and I’m super happy to have it file770.com/martha-wells...

A truly wonderful performer who improved everything she appeared in.
The inimitable Catherine O'Hara has died at age 71. From the archives, we revisit her reflections on her early days performing at Second City and on SCTV—and how her work helped shape a fresh, silly and distinctly Torontonian comic sensibility

Finished watching Wonder Man. Fabulous stuff, with exemplary performances from the two leads.

Three episodes in, and I'm *loving* Wonder Man.

If the quality remains, this might possibly topple Hawkeye off the top of my Marvel TV list.

While we're open this week as normal, our wheelchair access is, well... fucked, to be blunt.

We're very sorry. In theory this gets cleared up and covered on Friday, but we'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, any locals, feel free to request home delivery by email or order notes on the website

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

One of my Christmas gifts this year was a pair of slippers. I think it must be 20 years since I last wore slippers. They're good. I quite like them. But they also fool me. Probably to make fun of me.

I'm basically Wolverine, at this point.

It's so weird. We openly acknowledge that cats are evil, but when we have two or three of them asleep on us as we watch a movie, and we're desperate to get up to the loo, we suffer in silence so as to not disturb them.

Signed,

A current sufferer.
