It's a global market. UK agents are just as capable of placing a book with a US publisher as US agents are. I would research agents on both sides of the Atlantic. Maybe see who's authors are publishing milSF and try them first, but I wouldn't be too concerned about the physical location of the agent

Don't get me wrong — it's fun to see TV/film people lying to each other and stressing out a bit, but for the viewer there are zero stakes beyond, "I like (name of person). I hope they win."
Fun to watch, yes, but not as compelling as the original version.

Don't get me wrong — it's fun to see TV/film people lying to each other and stressing out a bit, but for the viewer there are zero stakes beyond, "I like (name of person). I hope they win."

I go to *loads* of cons with my day job, but CONvergence is the only overseas con I'd gladly spend my own money to attend.
I've been a Guest of Honor there twice and they treat you *amazingly*.
But they treat all their attendees amazingly, too, so no surprise.
