This is hilarious. Even the Dutch are way ahead of us in seeing how bad things are in the United States with Donald Trump running amok and corporations capitulating to fascism.

But, then again, the Netherlands has experience with being taken over by fascists.

The Air Canada strike could be a major win for unionized workers throughout the country if it sets a precedent for defying the union-busting abuse of the Labour Code.

The Air Canada strike resolution was a big win for flight attendants – and all workers
With any luck, governments will now be hesitant to use the Labour Code to undermine the right to strike. After all, the best deals are made at the bargaining table, right?

But when it comes to the #ForeverCanadian petition, he supports.

Brian, thanks for the letter!

Vienna has been dethroned. The new "world's most livable city" is [drum roll] Copenhagen, which was also, in a separate survey, recently ranked the world's happiest city.

US cities basically do everything exactly the opposite of Copenhagen, which is why not a single US city is in the top ten.
The world's most liveable cities for 2025 - and what it's really like to live there
Copenhagen has overtaken Vienna as the world's most liveable city in 2025. But what makes these places tick? Locals in five top-ranking cities share what life is really like there.

Guaranteeing "all Alberta seniors the same or better benefits than the Canada Pension Plan" in perpetuity would make APP a Ponzi scheme.
At best, the UCP could only guarantee that at the time of creation, then it's downhill. Bait and switch to steal seniors' savings. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The Premier of Alberta has a storied history of blowing things up (figuratively, not literally), when she can no longer control what’s happening.

The Calgary Board of Education. The WRP. This is what she does.

IMHO, she wouldn’t hesitate to rip Alberta apart to save her own ass.

🧵These are excerpts from this excellent article, because the historical parallels between the rise of Nazi Germany and the US today are so clear.

Goebbels said, "The big joke on democracy is that it gives its mortal enemies the means to its own destruction.”

“Hitler systematically disabled and then dismantled his country’s democratic structures and processes in less than two months’ time—specifically, one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes,” Timothy W. Ryback writes in a step-by-step account:
