London is becoming a cycling city.

As we continue to expand London’s cycle network, the number of daily bike trips is soaring. Cycling has risen by more than 40% since 2019 to 1,500,000 trips every day.

Proud to see London is fast becoming a cycling city ⤵️

📈 Daily journeys are 12% up from last year to 1,500,000 trips
📈 Up by more than 40% since 2019

This is just the start, we’ll continue working with partners to improve safety and invest in more routes.

President Zelenskyy came to the White House, looking for help from his longstanding ally.

He was ambushed, humiliated and berated for not being grateful enough.

Prince Bone Saw bin 9/11 came to the White House, for the first time since he ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

He was revered.

⚡📮Nice work @royal-mail.bsky.social, who have just announced the launch of a new fleet of over 100 micro electric vehicles, replacing 52 vans.

Better for the climate and for deliveries. This is exactly the kind of move we need to see for cities free of diesel vans!

Apropos...

1) For all its challenges the BBC is the single most widely used source of news in the UK and is highly and broadly trusted across much of the political spectrum,. See e.g. Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism research here: reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk/news/bbc-und... 1/3
The BBC is under scrutiny. Here’s what research tells about its role in the UK
The BBC is the most widely used source of news in the UK. It has lower reach among the young and the less formally educated.

No, you're not dreaming.

Trump has gone and paid the better part of $100,000 for a car he's not yet driven, and which during the course of its production has been the subject of dozens of recalls for issues like seat-belt warning system malfunctions and unexpected speeding and lane changes.

That's also the mechanism by which Democrats attract & retain illegal immigrants by essentially paying them to come here & then turning them into voters."

For the first time, the Norwegian government has calculated the value to society of the health benefits of increased walking and cycling.

🚲 ~€2.8 for each additional km of cycling
🚶‍♀️ ~€4.2 for each additional km of walking
Samfunnet tjener mye på at folk går og sykler!

Nye tall fra Helsedirektoratet viser at vi sparer:

🚲 33 kr for hver km folk sykler
🚶‍♀️ 49 kr for hver km folk går

Det er sammenlignet med at folk ikke er i fysisk aktivitet, f.eks. om de kjører bil.
