This really is an excellent series. I binged it while stuck on a train for far too long. Will be a strong "recommend" for my students. Many congratulations @joannahs.bsky.social.

Great advice for students writing essays as well - tell the reader where you are going (briefly), why and how!
ADVENT CALENDAR - DAY 22

HAVE A CLEAR AND STRONG OPENING PARAGRAPH. Give the listener (and yourself) immediate confidence that you know what you’re doing and where you’re heading. Think carefully about the structure and wording. Make sure you make an impact!

YOUR LAY CLIENT IS THE REASON FOR THE JOURNEY, NOT SOME HITCHHIKER THAT YOU HAVE DEIGNED TO GIVE A LIFT. Keep your client front and centre in all you do. Don’t just hear them, LISTEN. Talk TO them, not AT them. Give them time & courtesy. Be patient.

Thanks to @lucyelm.bsky.social for sharing these study tips. I've passed on to our Disability Advisory Service and for wider sharing with our students. What a helpful resource.
With the influx of new followers/people on bluesky, this seems like the time to reshare this document of #neurodivergent study tips that I compiled.

It's based entirely on tips by neurodivergent people, and I have had learning advisors tell me it was very helpful and had good info.
