Track-for-track, the best Maiden album. Also, humble brag incoming: While in drydock in Subic, I got to know a band ("Steelers") at a club in Olongapo, who let me play "Fade To Black" with them. A week or so later, the rhythm guitarist summoned me up to play "Number of the Beast." He had to pee. 🤘

Looking forward to a future Dem administration recalling Whiskey Pete to active duty for court-martial in regard to murdering nearly a hundred people on the open seas. (I can dream, anyway.)
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

USC blew up the P12 largely to get away from Oregon. 🤣🤣🤣

Commentary: Lincoln Riley should be on hot seat after USC flops again in big game
If UCLA can buy its way out of the Rose Bowl, maybe its time for USC to buy out Lincoln Riley after the Trojans fall to 0-5 against top-10 football teams.

When I was a kid, it was the coming Big Crunch. Recently, it became a slow heat death. And now we're back to a crunch? Someone needs to figure this out, 'cause I gotta change all my plans if that's the case.

Not sure I've ever seen a federal judge accuse a federal law enforcement official of "outright lying" under oath. In normal times, this would be a very big deal. Instead, it's just Thursday.
Judge Ellis derides Greg Bovino as a serial fabulist who brazenly lied on the stand and seemingly considered it funny to perjure himself. cst.brightspotcdn.com/49/34/daecfb...

Honestly, if you're going to weaponize the DOJ, at least make sure you point said weapons AWAY from your own face. Good lord. 🤣🤣🤣
HUGE development IN hearing for Comey selective prosecution motion, It turns out that the grand jury NEVER saw the operative indictment. Whole separate basis for dismissal. Standby for more.

I'm just lost. I thought people coming over the border were either poor and required immediate gov't handouts, or were drug mules. Now I guess they're upper-middle class migrants with sacks of cash to buy up real estate at or above asking price? Wut?
FOX NEWS: Do you believe that the number of people who came into the country illegally is one of the major factors that drove up housing prices?

FED GOV STEPHAN MIRAN: I absolutely believe that's the case

For Veterans Day, my daughter made me this awesome card. She then went around asking her friends and our neighbors to sign it, and they did! (Not sharing because it's full of kids names.) Filled my soul.

(I don't have the heart to tell her the Navy doesn't drive tanks, but she's 9.) 🥰🇺🇸⚓ #GoNavy

Between this and Trump's $400 idea to bypass health insurers, I'm starting to seriously question whether Republicans know what insurance is, or how it works. 🤔

Listening to Maggie Hasan try to justify her capitulation by blaming Republicans for the result of her vote is really something to behold. It's literally, "Republicans wouldn't negotiate with us, so else could we do but surrender?"

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Hopefully Democrats will staff this table around the clock.
Rep. Yassamin Ansari has set up a table and this sign outside Speaker Johnson’s office.

This might go down as one of the all-time great closing arguments. I'm jealous, frankly.
Defense begins, “This case, ladies and gentlemen, is about a sandwich. A sandwich that according to Agent Lairmore somehow both exploded on his chest in a spray of mustard and onions but also landed intact on the ground still in its Subway wrapper.”

In today's tariffs argument at SCOTUS, I feel like Roberts referring to the tariffs as a tax on Americans has sailed under the radar. I'm looking forward to Scott Bessent going on some show this week to say that John Roberts just doesn't understand tariffs (but that he should still support them).

Definitely the way for Republicans to dig out of this is to require photo ID to buy groceries
Trump: "It's time for Republicans to do what they have to do and that's terminate the filibuster ... we should start tonight with 'the country's open, congratulations,' then we should pass voted ID, we should pass no mail in voting ... you go to a grocery store, you have to give ID."

Lots of chatter tonight along the lines of, "Mamdani's about to learn how things work." And yes, it's a fair critique to say his policy ideas are, currently, largely unachievable.

However.

The movement that elected him will have a say in NYC council and NY state assembly races. Then we'll see.

Watching the election coverage (and Duck MBB) in multiview, I spent some time listening to Faux News, which I haven't done in a verrrry long time. And I gotta say, I get it. If you watched that fire hydrant of lies every day, you'd have oatmeal for brains, too. Good lord.
