Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation.

I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

What a great group they are.
Jessica: When I hear Republicans out there talking about their plan for education in America, I don't hear them talking about making sure disabled kids have access to a public education.

Greg: Because we're against it.

The crazy thing is. If he was actually doing things that support the people who blindly support him - a lot of us who didn’t vote for him would be happy. Because those people really need help in their communities. But he’s only helping the people who need it the least. Billionaires and white men.

Hey everyone. It’s Feb 3rd, and the Democrats have been at home since Jan 24th because the house is out of session.

They should have come back, the place is on fire.

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%.

The actual number is less than 1%.

Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.

Send an email to:

Apparently Speaker Johnson is going to make Sarah McBride use her own bathroom? That’s “dignity?” Also - you cannot govern from Scripture. We are not a Christian nation.
House Speaker Mike Johnson came to the cameras a few minutes ago to say this about trans people – a few hours after saying in a press conference that "We will accommodate the needs of every single person."

Sarah McBride (D-Del.) will become the first openly trans member of Congress in January.

So so embarrassed to be from SC. Thank goodness I don’t live there anymore. This woman is vile. And spare me your calls for “women’s rights.” Trans women ARE women.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina) has introduced a resolution to ban transgender women from female bathrooms in the Capitol, two weeks after Democrat Sarah McBride of Delaware became the first openly trans person elected to Congress.
