In Paris bookstore and American dude walks in w dad & points to a book by a HS mate (a woman, I know btw). Store owner had to convince him to buy!

A friend of mine, after seeing a stranger post about my book, commented that he needed a new read. I’m not an auto buy, friend?! It’s rough out here!

Today, I was denied access to seeing my constituent, Mr. Kilmar Abrego Garcia. If there is nothing to hide, cut the crap. Let his lawyer and I check on him.

Wrote a whole book on my time in South Africa just at the end of Apartheid and I can assure you that even when they could easily have been targets of persecution, Afrikaners were not. Ramaphosa laughed because it’s all so absurd. #casualtiesoftruth

I always say you don’t get extra credit for getting the details right in a historical fiction novel. Almost at the end of my draft, about to send it to my agent, when I accidentally run across mention of an ancient looking bookstore I mention in my manuscript. Opened in 2005! 😆

Just left a message thanking his staff for all this incredible research.
Call Corey Booker’s office and thank him for standing up for Democratic principles! The Congressional Switchboard is (202) 224-3121. Ask for Corey Booker!

Senator Booker is so amazing that even Corey Booker is trending! Maybe that's @bsky.app's idea of an April Fool's joke, but show some respect and spell it right! #CoryBooker

Clearly, the FB algorithm doesn’t want me to talk politics but tomorrow nite, I’m talking about it all at Capitol View Branch for DC Reads. I asked to do this in SE bc the conversations around literature and politics should not be centered in NW. Tell friends, bring friends. Community is necessary.

The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled.

This will hurt both kids and small, local farmers.

Pals, please, if an image is worth sharing, it's worth sharing with everyone. Take a moment, click the "+ ALT" at the top of the image preview, and describe what's there for people who can't see (or just can't load) images.

If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.

If you're 45, that number is 74.7%.

If you're under 30, the number is 100%.

I can’t help but think we might not be here if we hadn’t put so much emphasis on STEM three decades ago. Now, we’re contending with heartless, soulless bot-humans who haven’t read a book outside of the “bro curriculum” since elementary school
