This story does a good job of collecting the threads involving Jeffrey Epstein, a Juilliard student who he called “my tall blonde violinist” and Leon Botstein.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Bad Bunny is not an immigrant.

I hope this helps, but of course it won't.
The Super Bowl halftime show, with Bad Bunny showcasing Latin music before a global television audience expected to top 100 million, will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star delivers an explicit political message.
The enthusiasm — and scorn — surrounding Bad Bunny’s star turn at the Super Bowl

Mass market paperbacks that were unsold within 90 or 120 days had their covers stripped (as proof of destruction) then were pulped. Up to 50% of the print run would be destroyed this way. Horribly wasteful: we're MUCH better off with ebooks as the cheap/disposable reading format of choice.
The mass market paperback, light in the hand and on the wallet, once filled airport bookstores and supermarket media aisles. You may never buy a new one again.

Reminder than instead of Amazon, you can use bookshop.org, instead of Kindle you can use Kobo, and instead of Audible, you can use Libro.fm. And if you are lucky enough to have a local indie bookstore, please shop there!

This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

I say again Huzzah for journalism with a moral center!
NEW: Mandelson just sent a memo to UK newspapers via the press watchdog demanding they stop publishing his links to Epstein.

He cited clauses in the Editors code, designed to protect grieving families.

The memo was NOT to be published.

The National just said ‘fuck that’ & published it in full 👏
