It finally dawned on me that a heated throw blanket would probably be a better choice than using a space heater when I am cold. So I got one. 15 minutes into using this thing, I am here to tell you this is life-changing

Though, upon reflection, the last 6 books I read undercut my argument: an anthology of essays on Medieval political philosophy, The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, When We Cease to Understand the World, Theatre of Fear and Horror (a history of Grand Guignol), This Young Monster, and Wyrd Sisters.

If I were to create a list of books I have read in order to more or less prove that I am, in fact, a reader of books, I think I would pick some that didn't make me look like a joyless oddball

I was in a store today and
1) the Christmas decorations they are selling are BANANAS
2) already had Christmas music going
3) said Christmas music was mostly by people who have passed on to their heavenly reward
4) the whole thing just made me sad

This is significant in Kansas, which announced on Friday that it was distributing full benefits to all SNAP recipients & doing it *right freakin' now*. As in, not reloading the cards in its usual way, over multiple days, by last name of household head. All SNAP cards were to be full by COB Friday.
I've added this update to my story about the ongoing torture of SNAP recipients:

If companies think Imma buy their dumb Internet of Things devices that have no way for me to do something as mundane as changing a wifi password, they've got another think coming

I had to change the wifi password because we need to link to a utility that apparently can't handle one particular character, so long story short, I have spent much of the day perplexed about where, precisely, one changes that on several different devices

So many stays. I had no idea I would need a flow chart to follow which appeals are on hold and why, but here we are. Should've made one on Monday. That's on me.

It is true, I have never been asked for identification to enter a grocery store
Trump: "It's time for Republicans to do what they have to do and that's terminate the filibuster ... we should start tonight with 'the country's open, congratulations,' then we should pass voted ID, we should pass no mail in voting ... you go to a grocery store, you have to give ID."

Three hops is kinda bananas. I mean, I met and spoke with Margaret Thatcher so I was one person away from Queen Elizabeth II
Off the top of my head, in terms of degrees of separation I managed to get from myself to *Jimi Hendrix* in "three hops," this is a WILD assertion to make
