Any suggestions, folks? I'm still new enough to the area that I'm always looking for fun things to do.
If someone had one day to walk around Boston and had already done the big touristy stuff, what would be a neat thing to do?

Thankfully I'm catching up on scoring titles for Doody's to distract myself from what's happening to Brown. Not sure I can do heavy focus work this morning, but this is engaging enough to keep me distracted.

Check on your friends who work in public health and medical libraries, we're struggling.

It's a terrible time to have a BA in history and work as a medical librarian.

Hoping you aren’t the end of the video just yet.

Reminds me of "The Matrix," when it glitches to reset the environment. Yeah, it *looks* like it's back, but what changed?

I'm starting to worry if information literacy will be the next thing the right tries to ban. Because there's nothing more evil than librarians teaching students critical thinking skills. 🙄

How does one make friends as an adult if your workplace isn't toxic? 😅

I'm loving New England, but it's a long way from all my friends and family. I know this is part of academic life, but it's not easy. Today, I'm choosing to be proud of myself for taking this chance and trying a new adventure.

This afternoon, I walked around Providence, exploring shops and visiting the campus. I ended up walking 4.6 miles, and it felt amazing. I'm so glad I moved to RI!

Oh, and I picked up campus gear for my family.

I started to ask myself, "Why do peer review requests come in at the worst possible times?" Then I remember that there's never a good time. We are perpetually understaffed and under-resourced in academia and libraries.

I have a new housemate. He's cute, but he needs to stay away from my basil!

I am so excited to share that I just accepted a librarian position at Brown University, working with Public Health! It saddens me to think about leaving TCU. These students are some of the best I've ever worked with, but I'm so excited to explore new england and Providence!!

I'm trying to find my librarian/academic medicine/historian friends from Twitter. If you know of mutuals here, please share!
