Excellent writing from Ashley Parker. Hope it’s not an obituary and that WAPO can rise from the ashes, somehow. I remember how important it was during Trump 1.

So A$$HOLE TRUMP is moving to destroy NATO & alienate our European allies over control of Greenland!

SO IS THE GOP GOING TO STOP TRUMP? Or are they going to sit in their hands & let Trump alienate our allies and destroy our international security & standing?

Why are Republicans helping a president who is intent on helping Putin? D’ya think this might hurt the United States? Are you hoping it’s after you’re dead?

When I worked an internship in Pittsburgh in winter 1978 I took a bus to downtown. My parents were longtime Pgh Press subscribers, delivered each afternoon. I started a Post-Gazette subscription AM delivery & read it on the bus. Our lives have seen the demise of local news, and we are poorer.

Who’s crooked, exactly?
COLLINS: Minnesota officials say the FBI isn't sharing evidence with them. Do you believe the FBI should do that?

TRUMP: Well normally I would, but they're crooked officials. Minneapolis and Minnesota are being destroyed. I feel that I won Minnesota all three times. I won Minnesota three times.

Republican Congress, get off your asses, and stop this acquisitive Putin wanna-be. This is madness.
Trump: We need Greenland for national protection. They have a very small population. They say Denmark, but Denmark has no military protection. They say that Denmark was there 300 years ago with a boat—well, we were there with boats too I’m sure.

And are those markets coming back? The US economy is in decline, long term.
President Trump’s tariffs on Chinese goods are costing Ohio farmers heavily, according to a new report. It shows that Ohio farmers lost nearly $76 million of their exports to China this year compared to one year earlier — a 74% loss in one year. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2025/12/16/o...

Ok. I read these brave and horrible declarations. Concentration camp conditions. Now what? This administration is criminal, how do we stop this and atone?
The ACLU has posted 17 sworn declarations from people locked up at the Trump Adminstration's largest immigrant prison camp, at Fort Bliss in Texas.

In World War Two, the same site was called the "Fort Bliss Enemy Alien Detention Station."

Now it’s been quietly shut down eight months early because it never came close to delivering the savings he bragged about.

It’s like the powerful rich in our country want another catastrophic failure. They never learn.
The Fed is gutting its ability to monitor warning signs of bank failures and slashing rules put in place after 2008 to prevent another financial crisis.

Now, big banks are ramping up the same risky behaviors that led to the last economic crash–setting the stage for another one.

I don't usually share GoFundMe's unless I know the person.

In this case, I know the person really well. She needs any help that anyone can spare.

With that said, if you can spare even a dollar that would be amazing.

If you're strapped for cash, please remember that sharing is caring.

Who would buy a Tesla now? Not me.
Tesla’s profit fell 37% in the third quarter. It's been in the process of laying off 14,000 workers. It had more cars impacted by recalls than any other brand in 2024.

Yet Elon Musk just got a pay package worth $1 trillion.

American capitalism is off the rails.
