Charles Yang of Time for Three absolutely slaying me. I would lose my mind if I heard this live. Even crappy phone speakers made me scream and cry.

Please give @tressiemcphd.bsky.social her things. She has eloquently laid out the underlying reasons why this is happening.

I wish there’s was a Criterion like collection for tv and limited series so that I can have physical copies of the Watchmen, the Leftovers, Fleabag, Catastrophe, Unprisoned, Reservation Dogs, Dying for Sex, the Americans, Terriers, The Pitt, Heated Rivalry, Ted Lasso and Veep in my DVD collection.

Smitten!
I saved a couple hundred shots of the thousands and 20 minutes or so of video from watching them for 2 hours, not all couples did the feather thing, so I have no idea how key it is. I did get this shot where they both seemed pretty happy with the feather situation, so fuck it, #ValentinesDay! :)

Martin Luther King Jr. understood better than almost anyone that racial justice and economic justice are inextricably intertwined. Watch his powerful call to end poverty from his final Sunday Sermon.

Here’s a question: what happened to songs and bands that were focused on outer space aesthetics? You saw some much of it in the 70s as a part of the counter culture response to Nixon, like artists were singing a lot about getting the hell off of earth. Will it reemerge again in this moment in time?

Rewatching “Drops of God” ahead of season 2. The show is even better than I remembered it.

Loved this article. Friction means showing up in all the messiness of being human and trusting that we can work our way through being uncomfortable.
Tech companies have allowed us to easily eliminate frictions in our lives — and we no longer have a tolerance for “inconveniences.” Kathryn Jezer-Morton writes about why she has resolved to make 2026 a year of friction-maxxing.
In 2026, We Are Friction-Maxxing
In the face of technologies that sell us escapism at every turn, we need to build up tolerance for “inconvenience.”

The Americans.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:
