Londoner, walks, rides a bicycle, drives a car, often lost.

Still no idea what an "eco-caramel coconut latte" is.
25 million cycle journeys counted on London's two primary cycleways, and a few millions missed.

I'll own up to a few of them, my chains lubricated with cabbies' tears.

When working, London's cycleways' #C3 #Embankment and #C6 #Blackfriars Road counters have recorded over #25million cycle journeys since they were installed in February 2018*

Earlier this week, HMG published a consultation on the 3rd Cycling & Walking Investment Strategy - closes 15 Dec'25.

HMG's "active travel ambitions will be achieved through a mission-based, cross-government approach" ... mmm 🤔

London's cycleway #C6 #CS6 blocked on the City's Farringdon Street by Ludgate Circus thanks to #Cadent gas works, approved by #TfL.

NB: cyclists must merge with motor traffic and rejoin cycle track past the works;
SB: cyclists must cross the motorised traffic lanes, and somehow cross Ludgate Circus

24 Oct'25, gone dark-o-clock:

Well, if the officer was Mama Moose then you could imagine the eye rolling ...

friend and I had drinks with her cousin and his 7yo kid in Marseille and he brought us to this pedestrian square that's basically lots of terraces with a playground in the middle so the adults can do lunch/drinks/dinner while keeping an eye on their playing kids and......why is this not everywhere

Putney should be a transport success story: 2 Tube stations, rail to Waterloo, buses everywhere, riverboat service. Instead, residents are talking about leaving because of traffic.
The culprit? Ideology replacing common sense.

Stickers are up on signs for the new 'taxis allowed' East-West at Bank.

Old restriction ended on Fri evening... and amended restriction begins on Mon am.

Pic 3 at E side will be ineffective while Leadenhall has a W'bound closure (=only way for taxis to get to Cornhill during restriction hours).

Definitely going to be some new cycle tracks opening on the Westminster side of the bridge, as separate🚦have gone in for cyclists and some bike boxes/ASLs have been removed.

Some pics around the 'weekend switchover' at Lambeth Bridge.

The built eastbound (to 'south of the river') cycle track is signed as a C-route (+ NCN4). At least one more route sign is waiting to go up.

Have a feeling that the planned 18 July switch to working on the southern side of Lambeth Bridge has been delayed by a week.

I did spot a sign in the wilds warning of likely delays on 25-28 July due to 'Lambeth Bridge closure'.

Friday 4 July'25, gone dark o'clock: #CS3Count on Victoria Embankment recorded 12,064 cycle journeys today, and 1,692,888 YTD.

Using @westcountrytim.bsky.social 's earlier post, Thursday 3 July saw 18,230 journeys ... once remarkable, but 18ks are the new normal.
