I'm having trouble sleeping (migraine), and made the mistake of going to X. The sheer flood of absolutely fabricated news stories over there will do much to explain why everyone on that site is crazy as fuck. I swear to god, they are talking like human extinction is not just possible, but certain.

AI has already made what happened in Minneapolis impossible to wade through. I've seen versions of the clip now that just...contradict other versions and which look real. I'm seeing people using AI to create mugshots of the shooting office so people can "hunt him."

Just for the recored: Seeing people hurt or killed, or looking at the remains of people who have been hurt or killed, robs you of the analytical faculties you need to make a sound judgment about how to react. A major feature of modern warfare is recirculating old atrocity videos to hype people up.

Also, thanks, I've now seen that murder from 3 angles. I'm already having a migrane and a major depressive episode, so that really helped.

I can't say with a full (or at this point, mostly empty) heart that violence isn't the answer, but I can say that posting your plans for it on social media is capital D dumb.
