I get this. I'm constantly doing things that just have me shaking my head at my complete absence of chill.
wish i could be cool and mysterious but unfortunately i can't shut the fuck up

I write to my senators +reps and the replies are so cookie-cutter and neutralized fake-speak that it hardly seems worth it. But today I got a response from @bennet.senate.gov that felt more personal and sincere. (Took so long that I can't remember what I wrote to him about, though.)

How to Fix a Typewriter and Your Life (Gift Article)
This is the story of how a man traded steady, grinding corporate security for a dying craft and, in the process, found his soul.

No longer have a subscription so I can't gift-article this, but this is a really shameful statistic. Other countries create walkable cities and we make being a pedestrian a life risk.
Yearly deaths caused by cars and trucks striking pedestrians rose 70 percent between 2010 and 2023, an examination of federal data and other public records by The Post shows.
The deadliest roads in America
The number of pedestrians killed by vehicles has increased in the U.S., with road infrastructure and inadequate safety measures among key contributing factors.

It is the worst kind of irony that @fetterman.senate.gov is posting about his amazing top-tier medical care after a fall this week when he just voted to let millions of Americans face enormous rate hikes for barely-minimal health insurance.

So - Square, which you've likely used if you buy stuff online, now will spam you with marketing junk mail. And the only way to unsubscribe is to first create a profile by, you guessed it, giving them your name, email address, and phone number. F*cking hell.

Kind of crazy that evidence is mounting that the world is run by a group of rapists, pedophiles, and men convinced of women’s inmate natural inferiority, and the pundit class is trying to convince us that the real social crisis is that men are victimized and lonely because women have too many jobs.
You just know that “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” bit would have done NUMBERS in this little clique
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

Had to fly yesterday with a tight layover, was sure it would be a sh*tshow, I was wrong! Security fast and friendly in Denver, both flights arrived early, everyone super nice. Thanks to all air traffic + TSA people working w/o pay + everyone working on the ground and in the air at Denver and O'Hare.

This special with Michelle Obama (hosted by Robin Roberts, on ABC) on her new book on her evolving fashion, wardrobe, and style - it's good. Michelle talks so thoughtfully and comfortably about clothing and designers, and we see so many great moments when she dazzled, charmed, and schooled us. ❤️
